Elliott Ambrose is originally from West Virginia. His song writing draws extensively from the interpretations of his West Virginia heritage and rural culture. As a result, the original songs, he writes and performs, center on faith, family, the working man and the struggles of the common man in the rural culture of America.<\/p>\n

His music will cross the gamut from honkytonk country, to country ballads to love songs.<\/p>\n

Some of Elliott\u2019s influences are Merle Haggard, George Strait, Buck Owens, Chris Stapleton and, oddly enough, the ultimate country musician,… Mozart.<\/p>\n

At the heart of Elliott Ambrose\u2019s music is an abiding respect for traditional country music combined with an uncompromising understanding of what the traditional country sound should be.<\/p>\n

While Elliott\u2019s primary focus is on original material that reflects his solid country roots, he also pays homage to his southern heritage and the many other country influences and styles that have shaped his understanding of music. On any given night, the audience may hear the definitive influences of bluegrass, traditional country, country rock and even folk music.<\/p>\n

His musical philosophy is simple but direct: All music flows out of the same river and, ultimately, back again. It is the musician that takes it, shapes and forms it, and, if he is successful, finally reaches a moment, in the music, that is worthy of the listener\u2019s ear. Elliott Ambrose has committed himself to this goal.<\/p>\n

Ambrose has performed his music in front of thousands for more than 15 years in those small towns throughout America and in country music venues where \u201creal\u201d Roots music is valued.\u00a0 He has performed the music of Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, Waylon Jennings, Jon Anderson, George Strait as well as the Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynard, Marshall Tucker and just about any artist that has a \u201creal\u201d roots music reputation.<\/p>\n

His songwriting prowess has resulted in several number one songs on the independent radio charts.\u00a0 In July of 2016, Ambrose and his band charted the song, \u201cRedneck Shuffle\u201d at number one on the Indie World Country Music charts.\u00a0 In March of 2017, Ambrose charted the song \u201cHalf Blind\u201d number one on the Indie World chart.\u00a0 Finally, in July of 2019, Ambrose and his band charted \u201cBreakfast in Texas\u201d number one on the Indie World Country Music Chart.\u00a0\u00a0 In February of 2017, Ambrose and his band were nominated as one of the three best new music acts of the year by New Music Weekly magazine of Nashville.<\/p>\n

Shortly after that, Ambrose and his band played a showcase in Nashville.<\/p>\n

Elliott Ambrose was born in West Hamlin, West Virginia.\u00a0 He grew up listening to Flatt and Scruggs and the Beatles.\u00a0 Ambrose learned guitar in his late teens but never considered a career in country music \u2013 instead he performed for audiences for the pure enjoyment of it.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In 2002 he met up with a small band of enthusiastic would-be country musicians in a small bar just south of Brooksville Florida.\u00a0 The result was the formation of a country band named Tyler Creek Road.\u00a0 Ambrose sang and played guitar for the band.\u00a0 Within a short period of time Ambrose and bandmate, Roger Warthen, (who also sang) were writing songs for the band.\u00a0 Shortly thereafter, they recorded the band\u2019s first album.\u00a0 It was a modest effort but the experience motivated Ambrose to continue writing and recording music, even after the band broke up.\u00a0 He\u2019s been writing songs ever since.<\/p>\n

Elliott\u2019s philosophy is also his promise to his audience:<\/p>\n
